The Huskies (0-1) jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Bronsen Dhume collected a rebound just outside the eighteen yard box and beat the keeper with a high driven shot. Ocean took advantage of a goalie injury and equalized just before the half. The Huskies created several opportunities in front of the Ocean goal but struggled to find any rhythm or a go ahead goal. In the dying embers of the second half Matawan finally conceded the winner when a Warrior player hammered home a loose ball. Colin Thompson recorded 6 saves in the loss. Matawan looks to rebound on Thursday when they travel to Neptune.

Matawan (1-1) got back to even with a strong offensive showing on their visit to Neptune. Michael Toomey got Matawan off and running when he trapped the ball on the far left side of the eighteen yard box, beat a man and then rang his shot off the inside of the far post and into the back of the net. Joey Koempel quickly made it 2-0 when he intercepted a goal kick and deposited it in the upper corner of the net. Matawan dominated possession but took a tenuous 2-1 lead into the half. Bronsen Dhume made it 3-1 when his shot from the top of the eighteen found the back of the net and Michael Toomey tallied his second of the afternoon with a blast from twenty yards out. Adam Elliott's pass set up Denir Radoncic's first career goal to cap off the scoring. Colin Thompson made seven saves in securing the victory. Matawan prepares to host Long Branch on Monday. Adam Elliott scored during the developmental period.

The Huskies improved their mark to (2-1) by outlasting Long Branch in a game that saw violent swings of momentum until the late stages of second half when Matawan seem to final gain control. Bronsen Dhume gave Matawan a 1-0 when he successfully converted on a penalty kick. After a Green Wave equalizer, Michael Toomey gave the Huskies a 2-1 lead when he clipped a quick give-and-go that got bounced around inside the 6-yard box by the keeper with his off foot. Again Long Branch would pull even and at times seemed to be on the verge of stealing away the momentum for good. James Ruprecht helped Matawan pull away for good when his far post run was rewarded when the ball found him and he was able to usher it past the keeper. Bronsen Dhume helped pad the lead by playing service provider from two corner kicks, first finding Michael Toomey's left foot and then Matthew Mawson's head. Denir Radoncic was credited with an assist and Junior Koempel and Griffin Hayward played staunch defense keeping the Green Wave's most dangerous player in check. The diminutive Bobby Johns made an offensive name for himself in the developmental period scoring a goal and assisting on two others. Denir Radoncic scored twice and Joey Koempel side volleyed home one of the Johns crosses. Matawan prepares to travel to Thompson on Wednesday.

Matawan fell to (2-2) dropping a road contest at Thompson 3-0. The game was more highly contested than the score line would indicate. Matawan trailed only 1-0 at the half and conceded two late second half goals after committing more men forward. Matt Mawson controlled the midfield and quarterbacked all the Huskies advances into the offensive third. He was the architect behind most of the opportunities created and even a few near misses. Jacob Labinger anchored the defense by playing a hard nose stopper. Matawan hopes to get back in the win column when they host Bayshore on Monday.

Matawan improved its mark to (3-2) as they narrowly escaped a late second half surge from Bayshore. Bronsen Dhume got the Huskies rolling when he converted a penalty kick in the open ten minutes. Matawan took a tenuous two goal lead into the half when against the run of play Matt Mawson slid a diagonal ball to Michael Toomey who beat the keeper and touched the ball into an open goal. Bobby Johns ignited the Huskies offense in the second half, when seconds after entering the game as a substitute he rang one of the post that was eventually finished by Michael Toomey. At 3-0 it look like Matawan was home free. With under ten minutes to play the Huskies collapsed under the pressure of a three goal lead, surrendering two cheap goals and were only saved from a tie by Jacob Labinger clearing a ball off the goal line in the dying minutes of the game. The Huskies look to regain their footing on Wednesday when they travel to Hazlet.

The Huskies (4-2) showed their true class and form on Wednesday afternoon when they clinically dismantled Hazlet 5-1. Michael Toomey remained red hot when he opened the scoring with his 7th goal of the season. Trapping the ball just inside the eighteen yard box, Toomey threw a little hip shake to his dominant left foot before driving a low right footed shot into the corner of the net. It was two-nothing when Amil Muminovic's give and go set up Bronsen Dhume and his shot beat the keeper up over his head. Joey Koempel capped the first half scoring with a rocket shot into the upper ninety, when he collected a Toomey lob, shook a defender and let rip. Dhume put the game on ice with two more goals, both coming off direct set pieces. Dhume's hat trick now leaves him and Toomey tied for the team goal lead with seven. Matawan prepares to travel to Colts Neck on Friday.

In a game where both teams flirted with possession and struggled to create high quality chances, Matawan tied Colts Neck in a thrilling 0-0 final. Throughout the ebbs and flows of the game it appeared that it would take either a dramatic flair of excellence or a bumbling error to finally get the breakthrough, which in the end never came. Adam Elliott was a rock at the back sweeping out any potential dangers, and his defensive cohorts Jacob Labinger, Tyler Chin and Griffin Hayward were all stalwarts stamping out any offensive attack. The Huskies (4-2-1) now hope to regain their offensive minded ways when they host Holmdel today.

After falling behind early to the Hornets; Matawan rallied to take a 2-1 lead before finally conceding the equalizer and settling for their second consecutive draw. Michael Toomey continued to frustrate defenders as he once again found the score sheet from his flanked out wide position. Toomey's goal was his eighth of the season and seemed to be a catalyst for the Matawan offense. Toomey would later play provider when his driven cross was headed home by Joey Koempel from the six yard box. Matawan (4-2-2) again struggled to close out the game and eventually conceded the tying goal. The Huskies are back in actually today when they host Thorne.

For the second consecutive day the Huskies (5-2-2) found themselves down 1-0 early. After conceding a soft goal early in the first half, the Huskies played with inspiration throughout the second half en route to a 3-1 victory. The tide swung when Denir Radoncic was dragged down in the box which lead to a Bronsen Dhume penalty conversion. Matawan took the lead from a set play mid way through the second half. Dhume slid a perfectly weighted ball through the eighteen yard box that was redirected by a sliding Matt Mawson. The insurance goal was a Bronsen Dhume lobbed outlet pass that was collected by Radoncic and deposited into the corner of the goal. Colin Thompson collected six saves in the win. Matawan will look to stay hot when they travel to Long Branch looking for the season sweep next week for a pivotal conference match.

The Huskies defended their home turf one finally time on Friday, downing Hazlet 2-0 to secure a mark of (6-2-2) and their third consecutive winning season. Jacob Labinger got the Huskies off and running when a corner kill fell to him in the box and he hammered it home with his off foot. Denir Radoncic was credited with the second tally of the day when his shot from the corner of the box deflected in off a Hazlet defender. Colin Thompson had five saves in securing the shutout.
