Thompson 3...Matawan 1
The Lady Huskies opened up the 2015 season with a hard-fought battle with Thompson. After Kelly Lambertson shut out Thompson in the 1st half, Thompson jumped out to an early 1-0 lead 5 minutes into the 2nd half. Matawan quickly responded as Hailey McNerny played a nice cross that striker Bryn Radvanski one-timed to tie the game. Unfortunately, Matawan gave up too many opportunities in their own box and were unable to convert the scoring opportunities they created. The Huskies look to rebound vs. Bayshore in their second tilt.
Matawan 1...Bayshore 1
The Lady Huskies played a hard fought battle vs. Bayshore and emerged with a 1-1 draw after Emma Garofalo converted on a penalty kick. The Husky defense was again superb as Katie DeVoe and Kelly Lambertson split goalkeeper duties and Melissa Ruggiero, Emma Garofalo, Sara Margarites, and Gabi Medel anchored a strong defensive front.
Matawan 3...Ocean 1
Matawan won for the first time ever in Ocean as they rallied from a 1-0 deficit with a convincing 3-1 victory. Bryn Radvanski was credited with a goal after an Ocean defender put the ball into her own net. Anna Margarites gave the Lady Huskies the lead with an assist from Hailey McNerney, and Kelly Lambertson added much needed insurance with a goal of her own. Katie DeVoe was again strong in goal. Cassie Daniele, Caley Scheuing, and Jessica Labinger played strong games in this complete team effort.
