Ocean 4...Matawan 0

The Lady Huskies dropped their opener to Ocean 4-0. Matawan will look to regroup vs. Thorne next week.

 

Thorne 3...Matawan 0

Matawan had several chances to find the back of the net, but key saves by the Thorne netminder kept the Huskies off the board.

 

Matawan 5...Long Branch 1

Maggie Kauffman led the offensive attack with two goals and an assist as the Lady Huskies notched their first win of the 2021 season. Nene Konate had a goal and an assist. Sawyer Higgins converted on a PK and Rylie Signorile scored the 5th goal of the season to secure the victory. Nina Polchinski collected her first MAMS point with an assist. 

 

Colts Neck 2...Matawan 0

The Lady Huskies played their best game of the season in dropping a 2-0 decision to Cedar Drive. Matawan had several chances to tie the game at 1, but the Colts' netminder came up with several key saves. Colts Neck scored with less than a minute to put the game out of reach. 

 

Hazlet 3...Matawan 2 (2 OT)

Maggie Kauffman scored twice but it was not enough as Hazlet found the back of the net in OT to secure the 3-2 victory. Paityn Cali played a strong game and assisted on Kauffman's first goal.

 

Holmdel 5...Matawan 0

The Huskies dropped this match to a talented Holmdel squad.

 

Thompson 6...Matawan 0

The Huskies had no answers for the top team in the Shore Conference of Middle Schools.

 

Bayshore 2...Matawan 0

After playing a solid first half which resulted in no goals for either team, the Huskies let up an early 2nd half goal and Bayshore sealed the victory at the 50 minute mark to blank Matawan.

 

Neptune 2...Matawan 1

Paitynn Cali notched her first MAMS goal off a feed by Nene Konate to take an early 1-0 lead. However, Neptune responded with two goals of their own to defeat the Huskies in this season finale.
